so. today was flag day. (yet again) twice in the space of 2 weeks. just 3 hours longer this time around. so phew. walked up and down Orchard at least 3 times today.

and call it karma man. when I returned my tin (it was 3/4 full), the guy collecting it said "You from RI right? So should be full right? *weird smile* *lifts the tin and shakes it* "Aiyo. Next time must do better". THEN, when i tried to 'close' his pen [you know those type of clicking one], the entire damn pen flew out of its casing and right into his chest. OOPS! THAT WAS ACCIDENT, I SWEAR. karma aint it?

I want a more exciting rj life. currently, it is just not working out...

OH YESH! PW! Amalgamation OR Alternatives?!?! my first though was "what in the world is 'amar-' NO! 'amalma-' NO! 'a-mal-ga-ma-tion' YES!" to think that the word I would have difficulty pronouncing during oral presentation would be the question itself! =.= perhaps it was of pure coincidence that both these words would be on the same page -or at most 2 pages apeart- on the dictionary as well yea? as of now, the alternative to "Amalgamation", "Alternative", seems like the more do-able option....

On a side note, since when do cucumber have a smell? not to mention a cucumber-flavoured deodorant. =.=

one week of holidays just passed.

so. yesterday's flag day for jamiyah (jer-my-ear/ja-mee-ear) children's home was fulfilling!

there were foreigners (aka ang mos), who were the most receptive to our pleadings (?) for donations. just that we would have to explain more about the VWO we were raising funds for! :D

there were the typical working population, who filled our tins with their spare changes.

there were families! whom we like "targeting"... (no i am not envious or anything). the thing is, with the parents, are their children, who seem to be attracted to the "please come and take me" stickers on the tin! and parents, being parents, have to set good role models to their kids. don't they? XD

there were the "aunties" (as many people would call it) whose kind heart would melt just knowing that we are collecting funds for those in need. but it was a great help!

there were teenagers, whose response was relatively varied. :O

i learnt that the most effective way for flag days is to ask everyone. EVERY SINGLE ONE. and not choose who to ask. basic math probability eh? the more you ask, the faster to fill to the tin?

but. but. to think there was actually someone who approach us not to donate, but rather complain about us trying to scam people of their money?!?! sigh...

AND! kudoes to yuet cheong for filling up his entire tin!

Dramafest was pretty ossum! a pity that MR's homosexuality play got cancelled!

thought that HH's play was the most unique of all (no biasness here :D), though it appears a little creeepy at times. HAHA. but credit to MT, they did well :)

got my new specs! (finally!). orange half lenses and a LIME GREEN frame! makes me and VINCENT NEOH look like brothers? right?

march holidays are here. oh did I just mention holidays? :D
