SHINE!
Hello! =D It has been quite a long time since I last blogged eh? (Excludes the post on stopid ol' GP) HAHAHAA! so it must take something really AWWESOMEE for me to put up a post on my blog! (:

SHINE DANCE SHOWCASE 2010!
To say it was good is a severe understatement.
To say it rocked is still an understatement.
Because, it was reeeeallly OSSUM POSSUM!!! HAHAHAAA!
To think that I (almost) didn't want to sign up for it at the start. Because I wasn't really that into dancing. Because I had the fear that I would make a mockery of myself. Because I didn't really know what to expect from it. Because of a certain geepee common test (26/5). (But then again, who cares about GP? xD). But FORTUNATELY, I was convinced by Vincent, Royston and Gifford (especially) to sign up. And I did! Albeit the fact that I was close to 2 days late. (But they extended the deadline anw) and I submitted the form on the same day as the very first practice. (I sent it in 14/5 12.05am hehez).
It was a pretty cool dancing experience imo. And considering I have never been part of such events before, it was kinda a new thing for me. oh yesh, 'flash mob' hasn't appeared in my dictionary before this event. And now a whole new dimension has been added to it altogether. =D flash mobs ftw!
The three dance songs were dance-able as well. HAHAHAA! really liked the steps for 'Baby'. okay luh 'Baby' has a nice and catchy tune but other than that, errrrr. I think you all get what I mean. Till now, the steps are still like floating around in my head luh to be honest. :D Washing windows. Marching. Slow motion start to Baby (HAHA!). "Just shout whenever and I'll be there". "And we'll never ever be apart". OH YESH. AND THE CHORUS AS WELL. I remember Vincent said that "if we get the chorus, we should feel proud of ourselves!" and I think we should all be! Scooping motion. The "YO!" hand. Roti Prata!. hehehez. okay I might sound a lil' in coherent here, but i guess you all know what I mean ;)
29/5/2010! The day for the actual event. Annnnd, ALSO THE DAY WHEN CAMWHORING COMES NATURALLY IN USSS! =D. we barely started practicising just a mere 2 weeks ago. and the time to be on stage just came in a flash. initial plans were to explore Sentosa and Resort World before our final rehearsal. As you would have guessed, that didn't happen! Largely because only one person was on time? HAHAHA! The usual proceedings followed, where we arrived at the hotel ballroom around 30 minutes late. (we were relatively early you know! xD)
the place was really really nice for camwhoring. (I am serious). Especially our dear BRILLIANTLY-LIGHTED CORRIDOR! Really loved that place. Brilliant for taking photos!
Raffles Players Wannabes. =D. So you think you are cool?
Very cool right? ^^ =D Then, a series of retarded moments just followed. I love retarded moments! They just brighten up my life! MUAHAHA! First was the Waitor Moment. (I'm lazy to elaborate. Go to Angela's blog. (: ). I swear it was Gifford who laughed and rolled on the ground first luh. HAHAAA. and laughing is really infectious I must admit. Oh ya! and the camera even caught us in the Trying-extremely-hard-not-to-laugh mode! xD Second was the The Camera which cannot stand for 10 seconds Moment. in short, we were all set for another epic photo! till the camera decided to take matters in its own hands and topple over! really funnnny at that point in time!
The performances was a hell of an experience! Just imagine yourself within the crowd and all of a sudden you start jerking your body and clapping your hands as curious bystanders look at you with that "What-the-hell-are-you-doing" face.. awesome man. but it was kinda of short. less than 5 mins and "Now I'm all gone gone gone gone. I'm gone". xD. but i'm sure we all enjoyed that time luh! cuz I did!
Well, I guess while dancing is one thing, the people around me are actually the ones who make this THAT AWESOME. Got to know coooolz people like I-like-to-act-bimbo aka Angela (HAHA!), I-want-to-camwhore and The Illegal Immigrant aka Jin Hui, The MrNiceGuy and I still can't differentiate between you and Jim (xD) aka Jack, the rich&cool aka Mervyn and This-is-the-first-time-I-camwhore-so-much aka Sheeng Wei! Really glad to get to know you guys! And to Vincent, Royston and Gifford, we have known each other for quite some time now and we should reaaally realllly join such stuff more often! Thanks for your company all this while =D.
I really feel we should have an ENCORE. and YOG anyone? (Can't say too much here. y'all get what I mean)
